Made by stacking hand-cut glass and torch-cut steel plate, Cell explores the corrosive potential of energy that is stored up without the option of release.   The layering evokes both the structure of a chemical cell and the bars of a prison.   The powdery and oily deposits are ground glass, steel shavings and cutting oil—byproducts of working these materials.
